Time to catch up.

issue #22

Some time went by, still working on my application portfolios... Berlin's already in the mail, Dortmund's still in production and Hannover's too. I don't take that many pictures just for fun right now.. And there's not much to take pictures of since I spend most of my time in school, in front of the computer or out shooting for portfolios. Buuut I still have some rolls of the past weeks and right now it's just me watching family guy and having breakfast, so here we go:

breakfast after getting hammered in Wachenheim.

Waiting in front of sister's ballet class to pick her up.

Next morning at school. Elmar's quite tired, spent the whole nite on the interweb.

Michi.

Time for a break, Ergin scouting for somebody who could donate a fag.

Being hip & cool photography-kids we rather experiment around with our cameras during theory class than listening. So here's some hand-held tilt-shift /lensbaby portrait of Zed. Taken with my 35mm f/2 held in front of the F80.

Zed's answer. Turned out pretty cool i think.

Christian presented his top-notch lecture on Jim Rakete.

Michi and Elmar kickin' back.

Have a break, have a cigarette.

sneakerlove!

creepy Damian.

"aaaaaaw-cuuute" Damian.

School. very interesting shot.

Hitting the road home.

Another Roll. Trix400 +3, made his way through two cameras actually.

Went by Robin's place to shoot some pictures for my Berlin portfolio.. Thought light would be to dim so I only took 3 or 4 shots at 1/15th and 1/8th. But well, the 50mm 1,4 is quite an okay lens. Ah, camera FM2 by the way . HEART.Mr. Dub dubbing.

Later that day, birthday celebrations at Anne's house. Leica CL & Summicron-C 40mm f/2.

Akey mysteriously grinning.

Anne, Anne, 1/2 Lisa. (from left to right.)

There was WAAY too much and too good food, Anne was quite 'done'.

The obligatory mirror.

12PM came by, and so came the presents.

Sandra in a calm moment.

Viola in a very rare calm moment. ;-)

Aaaand another roll, and another night out. This post is in no way sorted chronologically but posted in the sequence the rolls were scanned. Whatever.

At Victor's.

Graf beeing terribly cute.

Some girls joined our table, namely Anne & Anne aka the A-team.

Robin & Graf crossing arms in the course of some cigarette-action.

Anne's impooortant.

Victor pulling out another 30yr old barman-joke.

Everytime I sleep over at Art's place, that is the sight i get when I wake up. His couch is standing right under a dried blowfish with pretty spiky prickles. Some kind of damocles-fish.

Because Art is like super-nice he drove me to town where my car was parked.

At home I immediately took the living-room for myself and some still-life shooting for the portfolio. gosh how I hate still-life shooting. I plugged my iPod in Dad's Stereo and listened to some Cunnin' Lynguists (waaaay HEART) Sophie joined me in the living room, dancing to the music.

"like d'uh."

This time, Storyville, CL and TMAX400 +3.

Flens. The mandatory choice of beer in the Storyville.

Maddin, in complete contentment.

Christian lighting one of those nasty cigarettes. / A fag lighting a fag. bwahah.

Graf & Robin.. great couple, aren't they? I like what the motion blur is doing to Robin's fingers.

Some overexposed guy sitting at the bar.

"now just TAKE IT IN THE MOUTH WILL YOU?!"... pretty gay evening I guess.

back home in the kitchen.

Digital camera in a cup. Dad bought this like 8 months ago and it's already broken.

Last frame that night.

First frame the next day.. Call me.. well.. a girl but i SO love this Snoopy poster. In fact I love Snoopy & his attitude. He's like a Beta-Brian (familyguy).

Another day. Strolled around all day long looking for some Landscape for the Berlin portfolio.. Very bad day. Parked my car in the field next to the road, not thinking very much. the floor was still quite preeetty wet, so I wasn't able to get my car out of the mud.. I spent like 2 hours wandering around in the village next to where I was shooting, looking for a kind farmer who could pull me out.. Found one, but he didn't use his truck but his tuned E-class mercedes =)

lonely straw pt.2.

Industrial bokeh.

After the landscape-disaster I stopped by at Christian's office.

Batman was around as well.

After an unsuccessful day I made the evening as comfy as possible.. hot shower, white wine and Casablanca. -> sleep like a toddler....

"of all the gin-joints in the world she had to walk into mine.."

Another roll.. a nice night out in Mannheim.. Shoo's Vernissage and drinking with Marie.

Shoo, quite happy. Check out his work at www.fezoni.com

Ran into Marie in the bathroom.

helloo.

Takin' a leak.

Zed was around as well.

Sabrina, working and drinking at the same time.

Mr. Gläss was around as well.

Bettina, halfway-drunk.

.. 2/3 drunk. I really like how Marie enters the frame on the right =)

Marie & Zed.

Talked with that guy about cameras, smoking, live-music and can't recall his name.. damn free booze! I can only recall that I called upon him with a wrong name later the night and a corrected me and I was emberassed. I THINK it was.. Ralf.

Aaah, that guy I know. Mulu was quite stomache-sick. ("Ich koann nix bei mir behalten!" black guy with slightly bavarian accent. awesome!)

Hr. Richter and Shoo in conversation.

demonstrating how close the 35mm f/2 can focus to Zed.

two complete different approaches towards getting "shot". Marie does like not, Mulu like! alot!

Another photo-guy talking with Marie about some movies.. As I entered the conversation we quickly started talking about lenses, and apertures, and burnwidths which FREAKED marie out and was quite fun.. we were talking complete bullshit just to keep her in that "WILL YOU STOP TALKING IN FREAKIN NUMBERS?!"-mood.

The best thing about these Vernissage-things beneath the free booze is the free food. Zed's with me on that one.

Mel finishing off.

Jonas & Mel.

Met up with mum in some bar in Frankenthal. Catching up etc.. Took this shot of a guy alone across the room. Quote mum: "How can you DO that?! that's so rude!" O_o

On the way home I stopped by the closed supermarket. Nothing special.. Just something to honor the Opel Meriva.

Finally at home I prepared some tea and went straight to bed.

The next morning, post-shower. I really need to do the dishes more often.

Arrived at school, Rain's pouring down.. I'm not very motivated of leaving the car, so I took this lame shot.

Michi having a rather.. calm day as well. Sleeping in the darkroom FTW! 1/4th, only darkroom-light.

Judging the Prints.

Smiley Faces?

CL with Tmax100 +-0 this time.

The place I was born in. (the hospital, not the field.)

Took pictures of some guy with his his 340hps tuned BMW 3 series.. Took a ride afterwards, pretty insane.. It's a 30 years old BMW convertible with the engine of a 10 year old M5 BMW. Wolf in sheep's clothing.

Later at home.. Sophie's eating spot. And some baby literature.. "Die Schleimlöser retten den Wald". jolly good read.

The star of every family-meal. After 10 mins she gets bored and demands to watch some child-TV on Dad's Mac.

After Lunch I got dressed and hit the road towards Heidelberg to meet up with Michi.

We borrowed ourselves a Sinar p2 from school for this day and decided to hang around with it in public to appear professional.

Oldschool, baby.

Waiting for my turn.

Havin' a break from large format photograpy.

That's it for now.. Gotta get dressed now, weather's to good to spent it in front of the interweb, watching tv series or writing this pathetic nonsense.

so, as quoted many times by my good friend christian,

take care,
f.
